Where Now For United? MUFC 0-1 Newcastle

I've said it before; I'm not a fan of David Moyes, but when Yohan Cabaye slid the ball into the United net I felt his pain. Listening on talkSPORT, I felt 75,000 pairs of eyes trained directly onto the poor man. When is he going to snap in the interviews with all the goading from the media!? You have to admit he shows composure under pressure.

Sympathy aside, the words he keeps repeating are becoming tiresome. "We'll try to win the next game", blah, blah, blah. Obviously Fergie is gone, but whenever his sides lost, it wasn't a case of they would try to win the next game... they WOULD win the next game, simple as that. Moyes just isn't inspiring confidence. He has tried everything and nothing has worked. Murmurs of unrest are coming from within- Rio saying the players get angry when they see his selections, and an alleged transfer request from RVP, since denied. No smoke without fire though.

Sadly it is pretty much impossible for United to play any better until the transfer window reopens, and which top players want to move to a mid table side? Teams must be cacking it when they see the midfield at Old Trafford these days- Cleverley, Giggs, Fellaini, Anderson, Carrick, Young.... argghhhhh save me save me! Arguably Moyes wasn't backed well enough in the summer transfers-wise. It's almost as if he bought Fellaini just be prove he could sign players. On the other hand he didn't help himself by sacking the majority of the championship winning coaching staff- the logistics of hiring a new team must have been tiring at best.

When the results for today came in and Stoke got a late winner against Chelsea I was immediately elated. My brain had been pre programmed to do so. But then I thought, hang on, this could be a BAD result for us as Stoke are one of the teams below us, and could catch us! Now that is a sad state of affairs! I never wanted Moyes in the first place, but now he's here I wouldn't sack him just yet. The board are in a difficult position as, they don't want to sack Moyes, but a top four position is in serious doubt now, and you can forget the league. They should have dug deep into their cavernous pockets and appointed a qualified manager in the first place- Jurgen Klopp.
